BMW 3 Series opens the gate of super-fast driving experience

The 3 Series of BMW is supposed to mesmerize you completely

BMW, the name every motor lover is familiar with. Super-fast drive, reliability and class are the top characteristics of this German auto manufacturer. If you are up for a premium saloon, your quest is over with BMW 3 series.
BMW 3 series no longer has the upper hand over some of the rivals like it once did. Some of the genuine rivals which are fighting with the 3 Series in the rat race include Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class and Jaguar XE. But still, BMW 3 series promises to shell out the tremendous driving experience on the road.
What this big boy got inside and out? Let’s catch it!

Power is tremendous

There is a wide range of engines to go for i.e. three, four and six-cylinder engines. The entry level is the 181bhp 320d 2.0-litre diesel engine, giving a terrific mix of performance if compared with the running costs.
For those who are wanting the drive for mainly, short distances should go for the 330e, which blends the engine from the 320i having an electric motor and battery pack. It offers identical momentum to a 330i but with further down CO2 emissions thanks to a 25-mile electric-only range.
Here comes the performance king, the 321bhp 340i’s 3.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This monster hits 0-62 mph in just 5.2 seconds with loads of torque for effortless overtaking.

The driving position is simply superb

Across the board, it’s a tremendous set-up, apart from the annoyingly offset pedals.
As you can expect from any BMW, the driving position in the BMW 3 series is very fine. Each BMW 3 series model uses manually fine-tuned driver’s seat that comprises of adjustment, height and reaches adjustable steering wheel go well too.
And if you are wanting a lumbar adjustment in order to get additional lower-back support, you need to pay extra money. M Sports models get sports seats offering supplemental support to aid in grip while cornering.
The ergonomics go hand in hand with centre console angled towards the driver. Easy to reach buttons just because of their size and clear labelling.
The BMW 3 series gets six airbags as standard, driver’s knee bag is not included, which competitors like the VW Passat have as standard.

Space inside the BMW 3 series

Getting inside and popping out from front seats of BMW 3 series is as easy as falling off a log thanks to its low sill and vast door passage. If we talk about the space inside the BMW 3 series, it’s identical to its Audi and Mercedes competitors, but better than the Jaguar XE.
And if you are hot on your heels for more space, the Volkswagen Passat is going to be a good idea. But, there’s enough space in the head and leg room for 6 feet adults in 3 series.
There are wide-ranging storage options in the BMW 3 series. Door pockets on each side of the front having enough space to easily accommodate a one-litre water bottle. There’s a storage compartment down the centre armrest and a handsome sized glove box. You can get two cup holders in front of the gear lever.
If you pick the right model and then add the right options, BMW 3 series is one of the finest saloons available in the market.
